SEMA Kano Operations Department Participates in Full Scale Mock Simulation Exercise at MAKIA February 12, 2026 The SEMA Kano Operations Department participated in a Full Scale Mock Simulation Exercise organised by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano State. The exercise brought together relevant emergency response agencies and airport stakeholders to test preparedness, coordination, and response capacity in the event of an aviation emergency. The simulation provided an opportunity to assess operational readiness, communication mechanisms, and interagency collaboration during incident management. During the exercise, a simulated aircraft emergency involving Ariwodo International Airline (B747, 5N ALN) en route from Morocco and touching down in Kano State was enacted.
